Governer, Governer, Who's Got the Governer?
Regarding the demise of the American political system, manifested most recently in Washington state's GOOBER-NUT-orial race:
How easy it is to appeal to the law when the desires of another threaten us
and to set the law aside when it conflicts with our own desires.
The saddest thing is *not* that there are people all over King County who were ready to riot in 2000 at Bush's supposed questionable election, but who "celebrate" the "justice" of Christine G's "clear victory."
The saddest thing *IS* that these folks could explain to you - with more heat than light, no doubt, but clearly filled with their own earnestness - how over-the-line anyone is to question this result.
